BHIM KBL UPI 1.4.2

The BHIM KBL UPI is a mobile application built on the UPI Platform for universal app transactions. It allows customers to add their own and other bank accounts linked to their registered mobile number. With this app, customers can initiate payment (push) and collect (pull) fund transfer requests based on virtual ID, Aadhar number, bank account number with IFSC code, or mobile number with MMID.

Version 1.0.5 of the app includes the following features:

• Initiate credit collect to a card not linked account
• Self-help mode activated
• QR code generator option to generate QR Code for receiving instant payments by sender using BHIM KBL UPI scan pay n pay option
• Bug fixes for Android 4.1 version
• User permission activation to access phone features
• Enhancements in UI/UX design

Before using the BHIM KBL UPI app, make sure you have the following prerequisites:

1. A registered mobile number with the bank where the account is held. The SIM card should be in the primary SIM slot (in case of dual SIM mobile devices).
2. Mobile number should be registered with the bank to receive transaction SMS alerts.
3. A valid debit card.

It is also possible to link other bank accounts that are mapped to your registered mobile number with a valid debit card. You do not need to be a KBL customer to use BHIM KBL UPI. With this app, you can initiate money collection requests, view your other bank account balance, send money to Aadhaar number, virtual address, account number and IFSC, and send money to mobile numbers and MMID. You can also receive money from a virtual address (collect/pull).

Here are the different transaction types available:

a) U2U (PUSH): UPI to UPI transaction (based on virtual address, account number + IFSC, Aadhaar number, mobile number + MMID). In this case, both the sending and receiving banks are live on UPI.

b) U2U (PULL): UPI to UPI transaction (based on virtual address). In this case, both the sending and receiving banks are live on UPI.

c) U2I (PUSH): UPI to IMPS transaction (based on mobile number + MMID). In this case, the sending bank is live on UPI but the receiving bank is only live on IMPS and not on UPI.

The BHIM KBL UPI app has two PINs:

1. App PIN (4 digits): This is created during profile creation and is used for securing the app and opening it.
2. MPIN (4 digits): This is created for each account using the SET UPI credentials option. The MPIN is used for completing transactions as the second-factor authentication.
